Muslims in Nasarawa State Urged to Embody Quranic Teachings

Muslims in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, have been encouraged to incorporate the teachings of the Glorious Quran into their daily lives. This call was made by Professor Muhammad Tanko Aliyu Baitullah, an Islamic scholar, during the inaugural ceremony of the North Central States Executive Council.
Organized by the Nana Asma’u Bintu Usman Bin Fodio Education Foundation, the event brought together Amirahs and state coordinators from the North Central States, who received certificates and were charged to recommit to their duties. Professor Baitullah, from the Federal University of Lafia, emphasized the importance of not only reciting the Quran but also applying its teachings in daily life, as this pleases Allah.
The foundation’s efforts to promote Islam, particularly through Quran recitation competitions among female secondary school students, were commended by Professor Muhammad Sani Haruna, former Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI. The National Chairman of the Nana Asma’u Foundation, Sheikh Abdulqadir Saleh Kazaure, explained that the foundation aims to add value to Islam and serve as a morale booster for the younger generation.
Dignitaries, including the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (retired), and other traditional leaders, urged the foundation’s officials to be productive in their duties. The North Central Zonal Coordinator of the foundation, Muhammad Hadi Mustapha, pledged to work diligently in their new roles, noting that Nasarawa State has been recognized as one of the top-performing states in the North.
The event concluded with a recitation of the Glorious Quran, emphasizing the significance of embodying its teachings in daily life.
