Strategic Governance: Nasarawa State Governor’s Aides Restructuring

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, has shed light on the recent dissolution and reappointment of the Governor’s aides, describing it as a deliberate strategic approach to foster effective governance. Ahemba made this statement during an NBS Live program, “Issues of the Moment.”
According to Ahemba, this restructuring is aimed at aligning with Governor Sule’s democratic vision for the development of Nasarawa State. The appointment of Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji as Secretary to the State Government is a significant advancement for governance, leveraging Magaji’s experience as a valuable asset.
Ahemba highlighted Governor Sule’s remarkable achievements in key areas, including:
- Infrastructural Development: Significant improvements in the state’s infrastructure.
- Food Security: Efforts to ensure food security and stability.
- Conflict Resolution: Successful resolution of conflicts between farmers and Fulani herders in communities like Udege, Igbira, and Basa.
The Senior Special Assistant commended Governor Sule’s proactive leadership, particularly in addressing fraudulent activities within the State Teachers Service Commission. Ahemba assured that the findings from the committee will be thoroughly analyzed to ensure due process is followed.
During the program, callers expressed appreciation for the state government’s efforts and appealed for fair consideration of applicants who applied for teaching positions through the State Teachers Service Commission.
