A Bill to Establish Non-Formal Education Agency Passes First Reading
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed into first reading a bill seeking to establish Adult and Non Formal Education Agency in the state.
Meanwhile, the house is to screen nominees into the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission next week.
Nasarawa State House of Assembly has taken a step to legalize adult education in the state and this has seen the house passing into first reading a bill in that wise.
The House slated 15th of July 2024 for the second reading where the essentials of the bill resolving around the functionality and composition of the envisaged agency will be x-rayed.
At the Monday’s plenary, the speaker read a letter from the governor seeking the permission of the state house of Assembly to nominate, screen and confirm Abubakar Bala Yarima and Muktar Mamman Angbashum as members of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission.
The nominees are to appear for screening and possible confirmation on the 22 of July 2024.
