The Nasarawa State government says it will create a level playing ground for all political parties to participate in the forthcoming local government elections.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sule on Public Affairs Peter Ahemba stated this during an NBS live programme, “Issues of the Moment”.

Speaking on wide range of issues, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs Peter Ahemba said the State Government has put mechanism in place to ensure that all political parties are given a level playing ground to participate.

While calling on the people of the state to come out en mass to participate in the forthcoming exercise, Ahemba urged political parties to focus on issue based campaigns and avoid tendencies that could create confusion during and after the elections.

Speaking on infrastructural development under the present administration of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, the Senior Special Assistant said much has been achieved in rural and urban areas.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sule on Public Affairs said as part of efforts to enhance the quality of education in the state, over eight thousand teachers have been employed in addition to Empowerment of youths with skills and called on people of the state to continue to support the present administration and live in peace with one another.

Callers during the programme commended the efforts of the state government aimed at addressing infrastructural deficit in the state.
