LG Elections: APC Youths Appeal for Councillorship Position

As the Local Government Elections in Nasarawa State draws near, APC youths in Sarkin-Pada Community, Lafia local government have appealed to the leadership of the party to give them the slot of a councillorship position in Gayam Ward.

They made the appeal during a meeting held at Zuaren Sarkin-Pada in Lafia.

Addressing the press shortly after the meeting, the representative of Sarkin-Pada, Umar Wakili Sarkin-Pada, expressed satisfaction on the leadership of the party at all levels, appealing for a gentleman arrangement, stressing that political zoning for equitable leadership.

Sarkin-Pada explained that since the establishment of democratic system, the Area has not had the opportunity to produce a Councilor.

He pointed out some areas that represented the ward in the local council, calling on the party to consider their request.

Contributing, member of the community, Muhammad Muhammad Idris, said the community has giving its maximum support, calling on suppurters to be law abiding to enable them drive more dividends of democracy.

The Woman leader, Fatima Sarkin-Pada, lamented the way some politicians make fake promises, calling for good governance among politicians.
