FULAFIA Matriculates 5,000 Students
Authorities of Federal University of Lafia have re-affirmed commitment to train students in both character and skills to enable them contribute to national development.
Vice chancellor of the institution Prof. Shehu Abdurahman stated this during matriculation ceremony for 5,000 students of the university.
The 12th matriculation ceremony of the Federal University of Lafia commenced with a procession by members of the Senate, Deans, Directors and Heads of Department and Units of the Federal University of Lafia as the students from different faculties and departments took their oath of allegiance, administered by the Registrar of the institution.
Addressing the matriculating students, shortly after taking the oath of allegiance, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia said the university, since establishment 13 years ago has uphold its core values which centers on integrity, innovation and excellence maintaining that they will not compromise standard.
Prof. Abdulrahman who congratulated the matriculating students for securing admission into the university, tasked them to always obey the rules and regulations guiding the school if they must enjoy their stay during their studies.
While nothing that the university has zero tolerance for cultism, indecent dressing, examination misconduct among other negative vices that could be inimical to their study and image of the institution, tasked parents to support the school authorities in its efforts to shape the lives of the students to become better citizens, assuring that adequate security will be provided to safeguard the lives of staff and students.
Some students interview Gift Augustine, Elijah Jeremiah Egurube, Albert Anabel and Gabriel Ukwela expressed joy for the opportunity and pledged to be of good conduct during their academic stay in the institution.
