“Current Economic Realities is Surmountable” Gov Sule Encourages Citizens
Governor Abdullahi Sule has urged the people of Nasarawa State not to dash hopes in the country’s ability to surmount the current economic travails.
This was contained in the Governor’s speech during the Thanksgiving prayer held in honour of the Emir of Lafia, Retired Justice Sidi Bage as he clocks five years on the stool of his ancestors.
Recitations from potions of the Glorious Qur’an by Islamic Scholars set the tone for the Thanksgiving prayer with, prayers offered for the Emir of Lafia, Retired Justice, Sidi Bage Mohammed for successfully making five years on the ancestral tool of his forbearers.
Coinciding with the Ramadan period which is characterised by prayers, supplications and other spiritual activities, the session also featured special prayers for the success of Governor Abdullahi Sule, President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire nation.
Appreciating the historic moment, Governor Abdullahi Sule said there is a need for Thanksgiving, even as he prayed for good health, wisdom and long life for the Emir.
Apart from the call on the traditional institution to sustain its commitment to the well-being of the people, Governor Sule however urged the people to renew their hope and trust in Allah in seeing an end to the current economic predicament.
Overwhelmed with the gesture accorded him, the Emir of Lafia, Retired Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed explained that the gesture has renewed his commitment to the service of his people, corroborated by the Andoma of Doma, Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah Onawo called for sustained prayers to support leaders meet the task before them.
In another development, the legacy of the elder statesman, Senator Abubakar Danso Sodangi was reiterated following a visit of members of his family to Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Leading the delegation, Doctor Ibrahim Sodangi appreciated the Governor’s concern for the health and well-being of the late former lawmaker whom he shared close affinity with.
A similar visit by stakeholders of Nasarawa local government was also led by the Member Representing Nasarawa Central at the State House of Assembly, Hajara Danyaro where Governor Abdullahi Sule’s closeness to the late Senator Abubakar Danso Sodangi was again highlighted, with the need for more prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased dominating the purpose of the visit.
