Allegations of Misappropriation Lead Lafia Football Association Members to Oust Chairman

Now Sports, members of the Lafia Football Association have passed vote of no confidence on their Chairman Aliyu Ibrahim Uba over allegation of misappropriation of funds and leaking of information to non members. They took the decision during a meeting on Thursday in Lafia.

The vote of no confidence on the Chairman of the Lafia Football Association Aliyu Ibrahim Uba followed allegations of misappropriation of funds and leaking of information to non-members.

In view of the allegations, the Members of the association decided to excuse their chairman and asked his deputy Haruna Abdullahi to hold sway with a view to transforming the Association.

While pledging to work round the clock to ensure attention is giving to the round leather game at the local Chapter, Haruna Abdullahi called on stakeholders in the football industry to prioritize grassroots football Development.

Reacting to the allegation, the embattled Chairman of the Lafia football Association Aliyu Ibrahim Uba said the allegation does not hold water adding that he was not given fair hearing.

“For me you can put an allegation on someone who is not aware of what you are alleging for at least if you have anything to say about your leader you call him up and tell him what he did wrong but in this situation, there is nothing like fair hearing.“
