An Islamic cleric Mallam Nasiru Alkasim has urged Muslim women to draw inspiration from the noble example of Nana Khadijat in order to play a vital role in the advancement of Islam.

The Islamic cleric made the call while delivering sermon at the newly constructed Masjid Aisha to mark the beginning of this year’s FOMWAN (Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria) week.

Encouraging women to cultivate qualities of love, tolerance, and forgiveness, the chief imam Malam Nasiru Alkasim said such attributes can fortify their faith and empower them to actively contribute to the promotion of Islam.

Mallam Nasiru Alkasim emphasized the importance of embodying the virtues of sacrifice, humility, and selfless service demonstrated by Khadijat, the wife of Prophet Muhammad.

The Islamic cleric underscored the significance of extending a helping hand to the less privileged, particularly in light of the current economic challenges facing the society. He also called on the government, as well as affluent members of the community, to implement measures that would alleviate economic pressures and create a more equitable and just society for all.
