ECWA Good News Church Lends a Helping Hand to Hospital Patients
Reverend In charge of the ECWA Good News Church GRA Lafia, Joshua Tuwan has called on Churches and spirited individuals to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged persons in the society in order to address their plights.
Rev. Tuwan made the call when he led Church members on a visit to patients at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital to Commemorate this year’s ECWA GRA Lafia week on Thursday
The visit to the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital was part of this year’s ECWA Good News GRA Lafia week event to Commemorate the remembrance of the founders of the local Assembly.
Led by Reverend Joshua Tuwan, members of the church visited the amenity wards of Dalhatu Araf Special Hospital to pray and provide support for the sick as confirmed by the Cleric.
Reverend Tuwan who noted that it is a command by God for the body of Christ to support the weak in every situation, appealed to other Churches, institutions and well meaning individuals that are blessed with resources to improve the livelihood of the needy in the society.
Meantime, as part of the ECWA week activities, a football match was organized for the Men and Women fellowship verses the Youth fellowship of the Church, which ended one goal apiece.
Speaking shortly after the one hour football encounter, Chairman of the ECWA GRA Lafia week planning committee, Sunday Adeshina said the essence was to gain body fitness for healthy living just as youth leader of the Church Osu Caleb Kure noted that apart from strengthening the bond of unity amongst members, sports also improve the well-being of individuals in the society.
The week-long event also featured cleaning of the church premises by members in order to promote healthy environment.
