Federal Lawmakers Applaud Solomon Akwashiki for Championing the Plight of the Poorest in Nasarawa State
Federal lawmakers from Nasarawa State have commended the member representing Lafia Central constituency Solomon Akwashiki for speaking for poorest of poor and embarking on infrastructural development to alleviate the plights of the masses.
The Parliamentarians gave the commendation at the first anniversary ceremony of Solomon Akwashiki which took place at Akurba-Lafia today.
The anniversary tagged “the impactful one year in office” brought state governor, former and serving federal and state lawmakers and politicians of different political parties who commended the unique, transparent, resourceful and people driven representation so far demonstrated by the member representing Lafia Central constituency Solomon Akwashiki.
At the event, it was established that the minority whip of the state assembly has changed the face of representation at the floor of the house as his submissions have given birth to resolutions aimed at improving governance especially the recent directive issued to AEDC to improve power supply in the state.
At the anniversary it was deduced that Solomon Akwashiki within one year in office has drilled and renovated 40 boreholes; constructed and rehabilitated numerous rural roads; rehabilitation of electricity transformers and provision of solar lights; women and students empowerment scheme and other intervention geared towards alleviating the plights of the people.
During the anniversary celebration, the lawmaker donated 12 cars and cash to 500 women within the 7 electoral wards of Lafia Central, leaving his SDP state party chairman Danlami Musa and his APC counterpart, Aliyu Bello buttressing the submissions of other speakers that Solomon Akwashiki remains the outstanding lawmaker in the history of Lafia Central constituency.
Senator representing Western zone of the state, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and the member representing Lafia-Obi federal constituency Abubakar Sarki Dahiru commended Solomon Akwashiki for upholding the ideology of the social Democratic party SDP and sued for sustenance as the speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau said the performance of Solomon Akwashiki is in line with the vision of the seventh assembly.
Pledging to sustain his developmental strides, the member representing Lafia Central constituency Solomon Akwashiki said his political ideology is all about the people and nothing else.
After the celebration, some lawmakers accompanied the speaker to commission some of the boreholes constructed by Solomon Akwashiki within the town.
