ABOC Foundation Donates Instructional Materials to 10 Primary Schools in Lafia
In a bid to boost education in Nasarawa State, ABOC Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has distributed instructional materials to pupils in ten primary schools in Lafia Local Government Area. The event held at Lafia-East Pilot Primary School.
Addressing Educational Challenges
According to Bola Ahmed Oduleye and Kafayat Olarewaju, CEO and Program Manager of ABOC Foundation, the distribution aimed to bridge the gap created by the scarcity of instructional materials in some schools, affecting teaching and learning.
Objectives:
- Ensure no child is left uneducated
- Complement government’s efforts in education
- Appeal to the Ministry of Education and Sports to prioritize educational and sports facilities in primary schools
Appreciation and Partnership
Representing Salifat Abdullahi Sule Foundation, Alkali Benjamin commended ABOC Foundation’s contributions to education, health, and humanitarian services, pledging to partner with them.
Dr. James Akuba, Director of Academic Services, Nasarawa State University Basic Education Board, emphasized the importance of primary education as the foundation of learning. He urged other NGOs to support ABOC Foundation’s vision to reduce illiteracy among Nigerian children.
Gratitude from Beneficiaries
Aliyu Kwana, Headmaster of Lafia East Pilot Primary School, alongside his colleagues, expressed gratitude, stating that the gesture would significantly enhance learning across primary schools in the state.
