The need for ethnic groups in Nasarawa State to live in peace with one another in the interest of development has been stressed.

State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Ibrahim Uthman Angbolo stated this at the Palace of Sangarin Daddare.

Represented by the ministry’s Director of Orientation and Mobilization, Doctor Tukura Danladi Sule, the commissioner urged people of the state to see peaceful co-existence as the cornerstone upon which prosperous societies are built.

Commending Governor Sule’s efforts in promoting social cohesion among diverse ethnic groups in the state as well as equitable distribution of infrastructural development across the state, the  commissioner sued for support from communities to enable the  governor achieve more.

Angbolo then appealed to Sangarin Daddare and other traditional rulers in the state not to relent in educating their subjects on the importance of harmony and mutual understanding towards accelerating development.

Aside appreciating the ministry for embarking on the exercise, the Sangarin Daddare, Balarabe Sa’eed Muhammed Alhassan promised to work towards promoting peace in his domain.

The Sangari who lauded the developmental strides of Governor Abdullahi Sule in the state, appealed to the state government to create security outpost alone Daddare-Lafia-Obi Highway to combat insecurity facing them.
