Emmanuel Manding, the member representing Wamba Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Arum ward to remain calm amid concerns over the councillorship position. This call came during a meeting at his residence in Lafia on Sunday, where Arum ward APC officials, stakeholders, and elders expressed their discontent over attempts to undermine their consensus on the candidacy.

Led by APC Ward Chairman Agai Manga, the delegation voiced grievances about forces challenging the nomination of the only female councillorship candidate in Wamba local government, contradicting the state governor’s directives. Manga emphasized the importance of supporting women’s representation in local governance and sought Manding’s action to ensure the female aspirant retains her position.

Manding reassured the APC officials that measures are being taken to resolve the issue amicably, commending their maturity and encouraging unity to enhance the party’s prospects in upcoming elections. As a representative of Wamba Constituency, Manding’s efforts aim to promote stability and inclusivity within the party.

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly comprises 24 elected members from various parties, including APC, PDP, SDP, and NNPP. Manding’s leadership in addressing the councillorship controversy demonstrates his commitment to promoting unity and representation within his constituency.
