SIRS Chairman Urges Continued Support for Governor Sule
The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (SIRS), Ibrahim Sarki, has called on the people of the state to sustain their support for Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable his administration to deliver more dividends of democracy and accelerate development across the state.
Ibrahim Sarki made the call when he received his former primary school classmates, Set 87 of Obi West Primary School, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Lafia.
The Executive Chairman stressed the importance of peace and unity in achieving meaningful development, noting that sustainable progress could not be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour, division and misunderstanding.
He therefore appealed to members of the public to embrace peaceful coexistence and develop a spirit of understanding and cooperation, stressing that unity remains essential for the continued development of Nasarawa State.
Speaking on his responsibilities at the State Internal Revenue Service, Ibrahim Sarki assured the people of the state of his commitment to improving revenue generation and strengthening the state’s internally generated revenue base.
He said the SIRS would continue to explore measures that would enhance revenue collection while ensuring that the process remained efficient, transparent and beneficial to the overall development of the state.
Ibrahim Sarki, who is also a member of Set 87 of Obi West Primary School, pledged to make his former schoolmates proud by remaining dedicated to his responsibilities and upholding the values of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness in his service to the government and people of Nasarawa State.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Yakubu Galadima, explained that the group visited the Executive Chairman primarily to congratulate him on his appointment and to assure him of their continued support and prayers as he begins his tenure at the State Internal Revenue Service.
The delegation also urged Ibrahim Sarki to carry all stakeholders along in the discharge of his responsibilities and to maintain an open and inclusive approach in the administration of the revenue service.
The visit featured the presentation of a congratulatory frame to the Executive Chairman by his former primary school classmates as a mark of their appreciation and goodwill.
