Nasarawa Lawmakers Ask Judicial Nominee to ‘Take a Bow’ Ahead of Cabinet Swearing-In
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has confirmed Barrister Mohammed Haliru Musa as a member of the State Judicial Service Commission.
During Monday’s plenary, Speaker Dr. Danladi Jatau read an official communication from Governor Abdullahi Sule, which described the nominee as a man of proven integrity well-suited for the position. With Governor Sule scheduled to swear in new commissioners and political appointees on Wednesday, lawmakers amended their standing rules to expedite the screening process.
Relying on strong endorsements from members Solomon Akwashiki and Dr. Hajara Danyaro, the House skipped formal questioning and asked Barrister Musa to take a bow and leave the floor—clearing the path for his official inauguration.
