Business Women Group Pledges Support for APC Ahead of 2027
An advocacy group known as Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda has pledged its unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The pledge was made during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the group to the APC State Chairman, Dr Aliyu Bello, at the party’s secretariat in Lafia, where the delegation outlined its plans for grassroots mobilisation and engagement ahead of the elections.
The delegation, led by the State Coordinator of Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda, Hajiya Halima Adole Yusuf, said the visit was aimed at familiarising the organisation with the leadership of the party in the state while establishing a strong working relationship and presenting its strategy for grassroots mobilisation.
The State Coordinator assured the APC State Chairman that the organisation was committed to mobilising women voters across all 13 Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State in support of the party and its candidates during the 2027 general elections.
Hajiya Halima Adole Yusuf said the group would work towards strengthening women’s participation in the political process and ensuring that women across the state were adequately informed and mobilised ahead of the polls.
Responding, the APC State Chairman, Dr Aliyu Bello, welcomed the delegation and commended the organisation for its proactive identification with the party and its commitment to supporting the APC’s political activities.
Dr Aliyu Bello reiterated that the APC remained open to collaboration with legitimate and credible support groups, assuring the delegation that all relevant stakeholders would be fully integrated into the party’s strategic framework as the 2027 election cycle approaches.
The APC State Chairman identified unity, inclusiveness and effective grassroots mobilisation as critical pillars for achieving electoral success, stressing that these principles were non-negotiable to the party’s ambition of securing victory at all levels.
He therefore urged the business women to extend their mobilisation efforts beyond urban centres and reach communities across the state in order to ensure broad-based voter engagement and participation.
The high point of the visit was the formal decoration of the APC State Chairman with the group’s insignia, alongside the presentation of an official letter of support.
The gesture was seen as a demonstration of the group’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the APC as both sides look towards expanding their political and socioeconomic influence in Nasarawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
