Fire Service Seeks NSIRS Partnership on Fire Safety
The Nasarawa State Fire and Rescue Service Agency has proposed a partnership with the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service, NSIRS, to strengthen fire safety measures for taxpayers and business owners across the state.
The State Comptroller of the Fire and Rescue Service Agency, Ombugu Joshua, made the proposal when he paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of NSIRS, Ibrahim Sarki Adamu, in his office.
During the visit, the State Comptroller of the Fire and Rescue Service Agency, Ombugu Joshua, presented a proposal for the installation of fire routers and emergency alert systems at business premises, with particular attention to shops and other commercial establishments across Nasarawa State.
He explained that the initiative was designed to promote the early detection of fire outbreaks, facilitate the prompt activation of alarms and ensure a rapid response to emergencies.
According to him, the proposed collaboration would help reduce the risk of loss of lives and property while also strengthening fire safety awareness among taxpayers.
He stressed that creating a safer business environment requires the collective efforts of relevant government agencies, business owners and other stakeholders.
Responding, the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service, Ibrahim Sarki Adamu, underscored the importance of the fire and rescue service in protecting lives and property.
He welcomed the proposed partnership and pledged the full support of the NSIRS towards its successful implementation.
The collaboration is expected to enhance fire prevention, strengthen emergency preparedness and improve safety awareness among business owners and taxpayers across the state.
