Government Commits to Year-Round Farming for Food Security
Nasarawa State Government has reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring all-year-round farming, aligning with the Federal Government’s food security policy. Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe made this declaration during an inspection of the rice harvest at the state government’s rice farm in Jangwa, Awe Local Government Area.
The state government’s rice farm in Jangwa has shown promising results, with a ten-hectare farm land yielding high-quality rice. Dr. Akabe expressed satisfaction with the harvest and announced plans to expand cultivation to four hectares, addressing anomalies from the initial exercise to enhance future farming phases.
