FOMWAN Hosts Speaker at Ramadan Tafsir
The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau, has urged Nigerians to pray and support leaders at different levels to enable them come up with polices that will mitigate the suffering faced by the people.
The Speaker made the call during Tafsir organized by Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), Nasarawa State chapter in Lafia.
It has been an annual event that during the month of Ramadan, Muslim women in the state under the auspices of Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) tafsir and this year’s Tafsir in Lafia was graced by the speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau.
At the event the speaker urged Nigerians to pray and support leaders at different levels to design policies and programs that will address the economic realities in the country.
Speaker Danladi Jatau used the medium to call on the people of Nasarawa State to live in unity and peace irrespective of their affiliations for development to continue to thrive in the state.
While calling on the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) in the state to support the government of the day, Jatau, urged them to continue to be law abiding, and respect their husbands.
Earlier, Hashiya Ahmed, FOMWAN Amiral, Nasarawa State Chapter appreciated the Speaker for finding time despite his tight schedule to attend the Tafsir just as she equally appreciated the Speaker for supporting the construction of the association’s Secretariat.
On her part Dr. Zainab Ahmed, National Assistant Secretary, FOMWAN, who is also the former SSG of Nasarawa State thanked the Speaker for always identifying with activities that are geared toward promoting unity and peace in the state and the country at large.
