Nasarawa State Youth Council Vows to Combat Security Challenges with Information Sharing
Youth Council of Nigeria Nasarawa State chapter has resolved to support security agencies in tackling security challenges in the state through information sharing.
The State chairman of the Council, Comrade Jafaru Loko,, stated this during Public-Traditional Security Intelligence Committee meeting in Lafia.
The Public Traditional security intelligence committee meeting, attended by coordinators of the youth council from all the thirteen local government areas, was to deliberate on the causes of insecurity bedeviling some parts of the state with a view to addressing them .
Addressing the members of the Council during the meeting, the State Chairman of the Youths Council, Comrade Jafaru Loko, expressed worry over the increasing rate of insecurity in some parts of the state, hence the need for the meeting to proffer possible solutions to address them.
According to Jafaru Loko, most of the heinous crimes are said to have been perpetrated by youths, saying the meeting was primarily aimed at cautioning them against indulging in acts capable of tarnishing their image, and tasked the participants of the meeting to educate youths in their domains to shun acts of criminality.
While commending Governor Abdullahi Sule for promptly tackling insecurity in the state, the state chairman of the Youths Council of Nigeria assured of the Youths’ total support to enable him succeed.
Some coordinators of Youth Council of Nigeria, who decried the insecurity bedeviling their areas, resolved to redouble efforts in assisting security agencies and the state government to address the incessant kidnapping, armed robbery, and banditry in the state.
