In a bid to find lasting solutions to the skirmishes affecting Afo communities, Governor Abdullahi Sule convened a meeting with stakeholders at the Government House in Lafia. The meeting aimed to engage stakeholders in seeking permanent solutions to the conflicts that have plagued the area.

Governor Sule emphasized the need for stakeholders to educate their people on the importance of peace and to identify the root causes of the problem. He urged the people to focus on love for humanity, avoiding material things and hatred for each other. The Governor noted that the quest for peace starts with stakeholders who must take the lead in promoting peace.

The Governor also highlighted the growing interest by investors in the solid minerals potential of the area, emphasizing the need to identify the actual cause of the problem and possible solutions. To oversee the situation, the government will appoint an administrator, along with two representatives from the Aki and Ambu camps, putting aside the supposed village head.

National Legal Adviser of the APC, Professor Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, expressed his concern over the situation, emphasizing the need to seek peace without apportioning blame to any groups or individuals.

The meeting received inputs from various stakeholders, including Samuel Egya, Danladi Madaki, the Osu Ajiri, Halilu Bala Usman, and the Asu Agwada, Abubakar Kaika Obagu, all of whom advocated for an amicable resolution of the matter and a return to peace in the area. Former Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government, Mohammed Ottos, also appreciated the resolution by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
