Students Get Scholarship Courtesy Former Lawmaker

500 students from Akwanga Local Government studying at various tertiary institutions across the country are to benefit from scholarships courtesy the Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Political Affairs, Kasim Mohammed Kasim.

This according to him is to support underprivileged students in their academic endeavors.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs Kasim Mohammed Kasim began the roll-out of the scholarship program at Gudi and Moroa electoral wards within Akwanga Local Government where the 500 selected beneficiaries are based.

The former lawmaker representing Akwanga South Constituency personally oversaw the distribution of the scholarships, engaging with the local communities and expressing his motivation behind the initiative.

Addressing speculations about potential political motivations, Kasim swiftly dismissed it, maintaining that the scholarship program is a sincere effort to enhance the education sector and show appreciation to the electorate for their support in the 2023 general elections.

Apart from the scholarship disbursements, he extended financial aid to the communities visited and pledged to advocate for their needs regarding social infrastructure with relevant authorities.

Throughout the tour, stakeholders and community leaders, including Sarkin Gudi, Sule Bawa, applauded Kasim Mohammed Kasim for his educational support which they said is key to building stronger relationships and addressing the needs of the local population in Akwanga Local Government area.
