Emir of Lafia Decries High Rate of Out of School Children in Northern Nigeria.

Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad Retired has decried the level of out of school children roaming the streets in Northern Nigeria.
The royal father expressed his displeasure when he played host to management of Phoenix University Agwada, Nasarawa State in his palace in Lafia recently.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the rate of uneducated youths in the northern part of the country, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad Retired noted that such an unhealthy situation can be averted if the elites play their roles as expected.
The emir commended the foresight of the founder of Phoenix University Agwada for his contributions to the upliftment of education, acknowledging his role in the development of education when he governed the state as the first executive governor.
Earlier, leader of the delegation who is the vice Chancellor Phoenix University Agwada Professor Abdullah Bala informed the royal father that the University has already commenced its academic activities with 24 programmes and six departments hence their visit to intimate him on the development as the state chairman of council of Chiefs.

Felicitating with the emir on his fifth anniversary on the throne, Professor Bala acknowledged the successes recorded under his reign pledging the support of the University community to succeed.
