Barrister Vincent Okudu, Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Nasarawa State, has expressed confidence in the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission’s (NASIEC) ability to conduct free, fair and credible local government elections.

Okudu made this statement during the PRP’s State Executive Council meeting, held at the party secretariat in Lafia, in preparation for the November 2 local government polls.

The PRP chairman emphasized that the party will not be intimidated by external forces and remains committed to emerging victorious in both chairmanship and councillorship positions across the state’s 13 local government areas.

He also stressed the importance of a level playing field, ensured by the electoral umpire.

Okudu praised NASIEC Chairman, Barrister Ayuba Wandai Usman, for his commitment to conducting fair elections and assured that the PRP will adhere to NASIEC’s electoral guidelines.

Additionally, the party has made provisions for contestants with disabilities to showcase their talents during the upcoming polls.

Danjuma Yusuf, PRP Chairman in Akwanga Local Government Area, highlighted the party’s core values of equity, justice and fairness, inviting the public to join its transformative movement in Nasarawa State.

The PRP’s efforts aim to promote inclusive and credible elections, aligning with NASIEC’s goals.
