The General Manager of the agency, Engineer Yakubu Sulaiman Umar gave the warning during an NBS live radio program, “Stewardship”.

The General Manager Nasarawa Electricity Power Agency, Engineer Yakubu Sulaiman Umar, said the Agency was established in 2018 by the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura with the sole aim of meeting the electricity needs of citizens of the state.

According to him, on assumption of office in 2019, Governor Abdullahi Sule prioritized the agency to make positive impact in communities across the state.

Engineer Yakubu Sulaiman Umar maintained that NaEPA is working in collaboration with AEDC to ensure that communities enjoy uninterrupted power supply, just as he appealed to community leaders across the state to protect transformers and other electricity equipment provided by the government from vandalism.

Callers during the program commended the agency for connecting them to the national grid, appealing to the state government to intervene on hike in electricity tariff by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company which they said does not commensurate with power consumption.
