Nasarawa State NSCDC Command Promotes 228 Officers, Urges Vigilance Against Crime
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command has promoted 228 officers to various ranks, charging them to enhance vigilance and combat insecurity in the state. This milestone took place at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, where State Commandant Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa presided over the decoration ceremony.
The event drew dignitaries, including heads of security agencies, traditional rulers, family, friends, and well-wishers. Commandant Ingawa emphasized that promotions bring greater responsibilities, urging the newly promoted officers to leverage their experience to tackle vandalism, armed robbery, kidnapping, and banditry.

- 28 officers promoted from Assistant Corps Commandant to Deputy Corps Commandant
- 106 officers promoted from Chief Superintendent of Corps to Assistant Corps Commandant
- 40 officers promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Corps to Chief Superintendent of Corps
- Other promotions include 12 Assistant Commandant of Corps to Deputy Commandant of Corps, 18 Chief Superintendent of Corps to Assistant Commandant of Corps, 21 Superintendent to Chief Superintendent, 43 Deputy Superintendents to Superintendent, 51 Assistant Superintendent of Corps I to Deputy Superintendent, 57 Assistant Superintendent of Corps II, and 26 Inspector of Corps to Assistant Superintendent of Corps II.
Deputy Corps Commandant Adekeke Olabode and Assistant Corps Commandant Nasir Sagir expressed gratitude to the Commandant General, State Commandant, and management team for recognizing their efforts. They pledged to redouble their commitment to carrying out their duties.
