Nasarawa State Urban Development Board Confident in Timely Completion of Akwanga Underpass and Bypass Projects

Engineer Muhammad Yahaya Wada, Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board (NUDB), has expressed confidence in the timely completion of the Akwanga Underpass and bypass construction projects. Wada shared his optimism during a site inspection tour with journalists in Akwanga on Thursday.

The inspection aimed to assess the progress of the projects, which are designed to address transportation challenges and stimulate economic growth. Key projects reviewed included the Underpass Construction, the dualization of roads connecting Keffi, Lafia, Wamba, and Andaha within Akwanga town, and the Akwanga West Bypass to improve connectivity from Keffi Road to Jos Road.

Wada urged residents to remain patient and cooperative, acknowledging that large-scale projects often face challenges. The contractor, Bauhaus Global Investment Nigeria Limited, assured stakeholders of their commitment to completing the projects within the agreed timeline and specifications.

Engineer Idah Diakwo, the Federal Controller of the Field Office in Lafia, emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards throughout the construction process.

Residents of Akwanga expressed their gratitude for the transformative projects and pledged their continued support, while also appealing for their timely completion.
