Pastor Urges Parents to Raise Children in God’s Ways
Parents have been advised to teach their children to live their lives in accordance with the ways of the Lord.
Guest Pastor at ECWA Church Number 3, Tudun Gwandara, Caleb Peter, gave the advice while delivering the Sunday sermon.
Pastor Caleb Peter described children as gifts from God who deserve proper attention, guidance and care.
He noted that children have the potential to become responsible leaders who would eventually take charge of the affairs of future generations.
The Pastor therefore urged parents to invest in the moral, spiritual and educational upbringing of their children so they can grow into responsible members of society.
He commended parents for their efforts in keeping their homes together and encouraged them to make prayer the backbone of their families.
According to him, no individual or family can truly succeed without the presence of God and His mercy.
Pastor Peter also called on women to remain hardworking and supportive of their husbands and children, stressing that their contributions were essential to building strong families.
He encouraged women to create an atmosphere where children could grow with a strong fear of God and respect for family and societal values.
Describing the payment of tithes as another way of supporting the church and assisting the less privileged, the Pastor encouraged believers to cultivate a spirit of generosity.
He said giving to the work of God and helping those in need could attract blessings and contribute to the welfare of the wider community.
The Sunday service also featured special prayers for the progress, success and well-being of children and their parents.
