Parents Urged To Invest In Children’s Quranic And Western Education
Parents have been admonished to invest in the education of their children to enable them to become better citizens and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of society.
Ustaz Safiyanu Otaki stated this during the graduation ceremony of students from Madarasatul Najmussaqib, Bukan Ari, Lafia.
It was a joyful moment for the ten students of Madarasatul Najmussaqib, Bukan Ari, Lafia, as parents, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate with them following the successful completion of their Quranic studies.
One after another, the graduating students recited the Glorious Quran to the admiration of the guests who gathered for the ceremony.
The guest speaker at the graduation ceremony, Dr. Safiyanu Otaki, who spoke on the importance and virtues of Quranic memorisation, noted that parents are expected to invest significantly in both Western and religious education to enable their children to become responsible citizens.
Ustaz Otaki, who commended the parents and teachers for positively impacting the lives of the children, tasked the graduating students to uphold and continue to practise the knowledge they acquired during their years of study.
The coordinator of the Islamic school, Usman Al Hassan, noted that the students were groomed to stand firm in the worship of God and encouraged them not to compromise the values and knowledge they had acquired.
The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates and gifts to the graduating students.
