Imam Urges Muslim Families To Protect Their Privacy
The Chief Imam of Rinze Central Mosque in Akwanga West Area Administrative Council, Kabiru Mohammed Saidu, has advised Muslim households to be discreet about family matters and avoid actions that could lead to the breakdown of marriages.
He stated this during the Juma’at prayer on Friday.
Speaking to the congregation, Imam Saidu said families should not always reveal their private affairs to outsiders, as, according to him, exposing family secrets often creates avoidable conflicts and damages relationships within the home and community.
He also cautioned against unnecessary divorce, describing it as an act that goes against the teachings of Islam, and stressed that marriage is a sacred contract that requires patience, understanding and commitment from both partners.
To prevent future problems, Imam Saidu urged young people and their families to properly consider family background before marriage.
He said knowing the values, history and character of a prospective spouse’s family can help couples build stronger and more stable homes.
The Chief Imam concluded with prayers for peaceful homes and guidance for couples across Akwanga West.
