Wamba APC Members Pledge Victory For Party In 2027
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wamba Local Government Area have resolved to ensure victory for all the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The resolution was reached during a town hall meeting held in Wamba and Kwara, the headquarters of Farin Ruwa Area Administrative Council, on Thursday.
The meeting, facilitated by the immediate past Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Alhaji Nasir Isa Kwarra, was part of efforts to ensure harmony among APC members in Wamba LGA ahead of the 2027 polls.
Mr. Kwarra said five individuals were selected from each polling unit across the local government with the mandate to supervise and safeguard APC votes during the election. He disclosed that arrangements are ongoing to train them on professional conduct during the electoral process.
Speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner for Women and Social Development, Rebecca Kpaji; the APC Chairman of Wamba Local Government, Samuel Agyo; and the Chairman of Nasarawa North Elders’ Forum, Mr. Timothy Anjide, urged the people of Wamba to sustain their support for the APC, just as they also called on them to shun acts capable of causing disunity.
The APC candidate for the House of Representatives for Akwanga, Nasarawa-Eggon and Wamba Federal Constituency, Engr. Tony Bala Shammah, expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in the 2027 election, citing the massive transformation under Governor Abdullahi Sule.
In another development, the Personal Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Utilities, Musa Akwanga, has disbursed over ₦4 million to empower 500 women in Akwanga Town.
According to him, the funds were drawn from his personal savings and contributions to support the senatorial aspiration of Governor Abdullahi Sule and the gubernatorial ambition of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture and pledged to work hard to ensure the victory of the APC in all elective positions.
