Jatau Expresses Confidence In APC Candidates’ Prospects
Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has expressed confidence in the prospects of APC candidates in the 2027 general elections in Kokona Local Government Area.
Dr. Jatau stated this during the flag-off ceremony of the Ward-to-Ward Youth and Women Engagement of the Senator Wadada Ambassadors in Kokona Local Government Area, held at the New Abaga Palace in Garaku.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker, Dr. Danladi Jatau, said the calibre, commitment and mobilisation capacity of APC stakeholders in Kokona provide the party with a strong foundation ahead of the forthcoming elections. He urged party supporters, particularly youths and women, to remain united, committed and focused on the party’s objectives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Jatau, who commended the Senator Wadada Ambassadors for initiating the Ward-to-Ward engagement, called for sustained grassroots mobilisation, noting that effective engagement at the ward level would be important to the campaign activities of APC candidates. He also urged them to embrace peace, tolerance and responsible political participation.
Also commenting, the Chairman of Kokona Local Government Council, Agbawu Mek Agbawu, represented by his Deputy, Mohammed Adah, and the Secretary of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, NSUBEB, Hasiya Ahmed, among others, described the initiative as strategic and pledged their commitment to the success of all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Meanwhile, the Speaker, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has condoled with the family of the former Deputy Speaker of the Kokona Legislative Arm, late Renkini Habbaku Micah, who passed away last Thursday, describing the deceased’s death as a colossal loss to the area and humanity in general.
During a condolence visit to the deceased’s residence in Garaku, Dr. Jatau said Renkini would be remembered for his contributions to the development of the area, particularly through his music. He urged the family to take solace in God and remain consoled by the legacies left behind by the deceased.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Amos Sansani expressed appreciation to the Speaker for the condolence visit and called for continued prayers and support for the family, particularly the late Renkini’s wife and children.
