Fulham Chief, Silva — Iwobi In Fine Shape, To Face Aston Villa
Fulham chief, Marco Silva has said Alex Iwobi is looking good after he was condemned by a part of the Nigerian fans for his role in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations loss to Cote d’Ivoire.
Iwobi was criticized on the internet by the fans who faulted him for the defeat to the hosts.
The midfielder, Calvin Bassey got back to London this week after they were honored by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Prior to the Premier League today with Aston Villa, Silva revealed that Iwobi is good to go.
“Intellectually, he’s generally excellent; Alex is a cheerful player when he’s on the pitch, making every moment count, he’s continuously doing it happily”.
“I don’t see reasons he should be blamed, since, supposing that you lose a game you lose a game together and if you are victorious, the victory is dedicated to all of you obviously”.
