Praying without season has been described as the only way to bring about divine intervention in the current situation Nigeria is facing.

Reverend Yusuf Danjuma of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ ERCC Gloryland Lafia, stated this while delivering Sunday sermon at the church in Lafia today.

Speaking on the topic “why is prayer necessary,” the Reverend in charge of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ ERCC Gloryland Lafia, Yusuf Danjuma, said prayer is necessary in achieving success in life, and tasked believers to always cultivate the habit of praying at all times.

Reverend Yusuf Danjuma who read Psalm chapter ninety-one verse one and First Chronicles chapter four verse nine in the Holy Bible, emphasized that prayer shields believers against any calamity that may befall them, and encouraged them not to relent in praying for God’s intervention in the economic and security challenges confronting the country.

While highlighting arrogance, lack of forgiveness, hatred, backbiting and disobedience as some of the barriers hindering God from answering prayers, the Christian cleric cautioned believers against indulging in such acts.

Reverend Danjuma used the medium to call on youths to always be responsible in all they do and tasked them to work towards propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ through their day to day activities.

He then admonished Nigerians to always pray for their leaders instead of reining down insult on them, and equally called on leaders at all levels to do more in alleviating the suffering faced by the people as a result of the austerity measures taken by government to reposition the nation’s economy.
