Governor Sule Charges Christian Students to Be Good Ambassadors
The Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has charged the state’s contingent participating in the 2026 Annual Conference and Bible Memorization Quiz Competition in Kaduna to conduct themselves in a manner that will make the state proud.
Governor Sule gave the charge on Tuesday during a special prayer and send-off ceremony organised for the contingent at the Government Science School, Lafia, ahead of their trip to Kaduna.
The National Conference and Bible Memorization Quiz Competition is an annual event organised by the National Association of Christian Religious Educators of Nigeria to provide young Christian students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, knowledge and understanding of the Holy Bible.
This year’s conference is being held at Queen Amina College, Kaduna, under the theme, “The Christian in the 21st Century: Emerging Challenges and Pathways for National Development.”
Addressing the state contingent at their take-off point at the Government Science School, Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religious Matters, Venerable Jibraila Yarima Dabong, wished the delegates a successful outing.
He urged them to obey the rules and regulations of the conference and maintain a high level of discipline throughout their stay in Kaduna.
The Governor further tasked the representatives to ensure that their conduct and actions reflect positively on the reputation of Nasarawa State, urging them to be true ambassadors of the state wherever they find themselves.
Responding, the Nasarawa State Chairman of the National Association of Christian Religious Educators of Nigeria, Pastor Attah Abimiku, alongside one of the participating students, Odo Precious Chisom, appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule and the state government for the support given to the team.
They promised to uphold the confidence reposed in them and work hard to make Nasarawa State proud, expressing optimism that the contingent would return victorious from the competition.
A special prayer session for a safe journey and a successful outing brought the send-off ceremony to a close.
