Former Lawmaker Says Construction Of Feferuwa Bridge Worth N15 Million
Former member, representing Lafia North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali said he has constructed Feferuwa Bridge worth over fifteen million in order to link over thirty communities of Lafia East Development Area and Wamba Local Government Area.
The former Deputy Chief Whip of the House stated this during the official inauguration of Feferuwa Bridge in Arikiya ward, Lafia Local government.
The construction of the Feferuwa bridge in Lafia East Development Area according to the former member representing Lafia North Constituency, Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali was to reduce the suffering being faced by people of the benefitting communities in transporting their farm produce to the market and other day to day activities.
Alkali while stating that the gesture was borne out of his desire to boost agricultural and socio-economic activities as well as revenue base of the people of the area, said the 15 million naira project was deliberate.
Also speaking, State APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello represented by state APC Youth Leader, Mohammed Lafia appreciated Alkali for constructing Feferuwa bridge, saying he has written his name in gold for impacting positively on the lives of the people of his constituency and the state at large.
On his part, the Chairman, Lafia Local Government Area Aminu Muazu Maifata, represented by Speaker, Lafia Local Government Legislative Council Yohanna Philibus Attah appreciated Mohammed Alkali for constructing the bridge.
On their parts, Sarkin Arikiya , Alhaji Abbas Usman Buba, Alhaji Kasimu Abubakar, the District Head of Feferuwa and Magajiya Feferuwa, Mrs Fatima Isa, all showered encomium on Alkali for constructing the bridge among other projects in the area.
