Nasarawa Government to Take Advantage of Newly Renovated Central Medical Store
Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Doctor Emmanuel Akabe has assured of government’s commitment to leveraging on the advantages of the newly renovated Central Medical Store to ensure constant supply of drugs to healthcare facilities in the state.
He gave the assurance in an interview shortly after inspecting the store.
According to the state Deputy Governor, improvements would in due course be made upon what was done at the Central Medical Store so as to maintain standard in the supply and distribution of quality drugs to health facilities across the state.
He noted that its completion has made it a world class facility, saying citizens will now get unhindered access to purchase drugs and other consumables.
While appreciating the state partners for their support and collaboration which immensely helped the government in putting up the place, Dr. Akabe however reiterated that the present administration has put a lot of emphasis on delivering quality healthcare to the citizenry.
According to him, the construction of warehouse will commence in Karu to take care of the drug needs of residents of the area and its surroundings.
Meantime, the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe received a delegation from the Bank of Industry, led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Shekarau Umar where issues of loan disbursement to local entrepreneurs where discussed, as his guest informed him that the bank is focusing on injecting billions of naira to boost entrepreneurship in rural areas with Nasarawa State taken as one of the pilot states.
Responding, Dr. Akabe appreciated the mutual cooperation between the Bank of Industry and the Nasarawa State Government, assuring that the state will take the lead in early disbursement of the funds to the targeted beneficiaries.
