Law Graduates of Nasarawa State University Urged to Uphold Professional Ethics Before Law School Transition

Law graduates of the Nasarawa state University, Keffi, have been charged to be obedience to rules and conduct of the legal profession as they prepare to go to the law school.

The APC National legal adviser, Professor Abdulkarim Kana, SAN, made the charge during a farewell dinner for graduating law students, held at the Alvari Hotel GRA Keffi.

Our Correspondent reports that a dinner to bid farewell to the graduating students of the faculty of law, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, had in attendance legal luminaries including senior Advocates of Nigeria SAN led by Babatunde John Ogala SAN among other dignitaries.

Speaking at the event,  the senior advocate of Nigeria SAN prof. Abdulkarin Kana, said the law profession plays critical role in defending the rights of individuals in the society, maintaining  that for the law students to be successful lawyers they must be prepared, sincere and work hard to achieve that.

The representative of the vice chancellor, professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, the deputy vice chancellor administrations, and the Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, applauded faculty of law for making the university proud in terms of academic performance, calling on the student to exhibit same skills at the law school to enable them succeed in life.

Earlier the president of law students association, NSUK chapter, Rabi Usman, said it was a tradition of the faculty of law, Nasarawa state University Keffi, to organise  a dinner in honour of the graduating students and appreciated the management of the faculty and the university for their support towards achieving academic excellence.

Some of the graduating students, Mrs. Ladi Smah George, Kadri Shukrah Mayowa, President, Female law student’s forum and Bolani Blossom, promised to work hard towards achieving their aims of becoming legal practitioners

Receiving the award of honour, the senior advocate of Nigeria, SAN Babatunde John Ogala, among others appreciated the students for recognizing them as key players in legal professions just as Mathew Buka SAN and Isiaka Mudi Dikko SAN, announced a financial support to students who graduated with four points as their CGPA.
