Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has called on Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad, emphasizing the importance of worshiping God and adhering to His commandments as exemplified by the Prophet. Bauchi made this call during the annual Maulud lecture organized by Ungwar Marina Tijjaniyyah Sufi Forum in Lafia.

Key Highlights of the Lecture

  • Emulating Prophet Muhammad’s Virtues: Bauchi stressed the need for Muslims to follow the Prophet’s example to guide their faith and actions.
  • Interfaith Peace and Cooperation: He encouraged Muslims to live in peace with adherents of other faiths, promoting peace and development in society.
  • Unity among Muslims: Chief Imam Murshid Yusuf Abubakar emphasized that loving Prophet Muhammad fosters unity, urging Muslims to be proactive in promoting unity.

Other speakers, including Sangarin Shabu Mahmud Umar Bwala and Chairman of the Maulud Organizing Committee, Salihu Ishaq Mairafi, echoed the importance of Muslim unity and sustaining the momentum of the Maulud lecture.

The event, themed “Globalization and the Islamic Resurgence,” concluded with Islamic poems and Qur’anic recitations, underscoring the significance of Maulud in promoting Islamic values and unity. As a respected Islamic leader, Bauchi’s message serves as a reminder of the importance of emulating Prophet Muhammad’s teachings in daily life.
