Nasarawa State Government to Construct Mini Stadium In Lafia

The National leadership of the Sport Writers Association Of Nigeria (SWAN) were at the Nasarawa State Government House on Wednesday 11th December 2024 to familiarize with Governor Abdullahi Sule.

While receiving the SWAN leadership led by the National President Comrade. Benjamin Isiah alongside other national executive members, Governor Sule reiterate his administration’s commitment in revamping sport in Nasarawa State.

The Governor said the role of sports in bringing peace and development can never be underestimated hence the reason his government is upgrading sporting facilities across the state and ready to building mini stadiums in Lafia and other Local Government Areas of the State.

Earlier the President of SWAN, Comrade Benjamin Isiah informed their host that they are in Lafia for the National Executive Council NEC meeting 2024 which holds between Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th, December 2024.

Comrade Isiah use the medium to appreciate the governor for his contributions towards sport development in the state and Nigeria at large. Saying the Governor had set the pace by been the first governor to host SWAN leadership in the country and challenge other governors to emulate from the gesture.

The Governor was presented with a Sport Icon Award, Certificate and a Medal by the SWAN National leadership.
