New Lands Commissioner Pledges Support for Sule’s Development Agenda
The newly appointed Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul, has pledged to add value to the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule and contribute to meaningful development across Nasarawa State.
Dr. Ashefo made the commitment shortly after formally taking over the leadership of the ministry as the substantive Commissioner.
After receiving the handover documents from the covering Commissioner, the newly appointed Commissioner, Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul, expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for finding him worthy of serving in his administration.
He promised to give his best to the assignment by introducing and supporting initiatives that would add the necessary value to the government’s development efforts across the state.
Dr. Ashefo warned that he would not tolerate any form of unprofessional or unethical conduct in the discharge of his duties.
He also vowed to address bottlenecks associated with land administration in the state, saying a more efficient system would help the government implement policies capable of delivering direct benefits to the people.
The new Commissioner further emphasised that the ministry would work closely with relevant agencies to justify the confidence reposed in him and complement Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision of transforming Nasarawa State.
He said stronger synergy among the relevant institutions would also help create a conducive environment for attracting more investors from within and outside the state.
Earlier, while presenting the handover documents to the substantive Commissioner of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, the covering Commissioner of the ministry, Tanko Tunga, who has now been appointed Commissioner for Livestock Development, prayed for Dr. Ashefo and wished him a result-oriented tenure.
Tanko Tunga also called on the management and staff of the ministry to give the new Commissioner the necessary support and cooperation to enable him succeed in his new responsibility.
The event was attended by directors and staff of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning, the Administrator of Lafia East Area Administrative Council, Christian and Muslim clerics, the Commissioner’s wife, family members and friends who came to show solidarity with the newly appointed Commissioner, Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul.
