NASSA Inaugurates EXCO… Charged to Shun Bad Behaviors

Nigerian students have been charged to steer clear of behaviors that could jeopardize their academic pursuits and future prospects.

The Dean of Students Affairs at the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology Lafia, Dr. Kyari Sunday Steven gave the charge during the inauguration of new officials of Nasarawa State Students’ Association (NASSA), College of Agriculture chapter.

Dr. Steven urged the students to give more attention to their academic endeavors, adhere to the regulations of the college, and eschew any conduct that could jeopardize their future aspirations.

He charged the newly inaugurated student leaders to prioritize initiatives that advance the welfare and academic excellence of their fellow students.

The Dean of Students Affairs reiterated the institution’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment that fosters self-sufficiency and benefits the nation economically and commended the foresight of the outgoing officials.

The swearing-in of the new Executive Committee members was overseen by Abari Musa, the Chairman of the Security Committee of the College where he charged the new leaders to operate in line with the constitution, comply with the institution’s regulations, and assured them of internal and external security measures in place for their safety.

During his inaugural address, the new NASSA President of the College, Comrade Yakubu Muhammad Buhari, pledged to uphold the core values of unity, inclusivity, and diversity while fulfilling his duties.

He also expressed determination to collaborate with the management and called for support from fellow students.

In a valedictory speech, the outgoing President of the college chapter, Comrade Alanana Sharif Aliyu, recounted his tenure’s accomplishments and challenges, urging the new leadership to be selfless and dedicated to the association’s ideals for success.

The event also featured the swearing-in of the legislative arm of the association, the handover of official items, and the presentation of certificates.
