Transformation at College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology Lafia as 622 Students Begin Academic Journey
College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology Lafia has matriculated six hundred and twenty-two students for the 2023/2024 academic session. The ceremony took place at the College Hall.
During the ceremony, a total of 327 National Diploma and 295 Higher National Diploma students took the oath of allegiance into their respective courses.
In his address to the gathering the Rector of the College Dr. Musa Yahaya Maikafi, highlighted the institution’s legacy of producing top talent in the agricultural sector over the past 40 years.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for supporting the College’s transition to Polytechnic status and appealed for additional vehicles to support the academic activities of the institution.
Emphasizing the importance of responsible social media use, the Rector urged students to utilize the practical and industry-based skills offered by the College assuring them of the management’s dedication to transforming the institution into a world-class center of technical excellence.
Director of JAMB Lafia Zonal Office, Mr. Boniface Ali Tukura, congratulated the students and advised them to steer clear of activities that could tarnish their reputation.
Some of the Matriculating students Blessing Epawoza, Pyason Dimka, and Favour Doom Sewuese expressed their commitment to upholding good behavior and make the most of their academic journey.
