Nasarawa State Government Applauds College of Nursing Sciences, Lafia, for Repositioning to National Standards

Nasarawa State Government has lauded the efforts of the management of College of Nursing Sciences, Lafia, for repositioning the school to compete favourably with others across the country.

The State Deputy governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe gave the commendation when he received the management of the institution, led by the Provost, Mr. Zari Solomon at his temporary office in Lafia.

The state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe who was elated by the performance of a student of the College of Nursing Sciences, Lafia, Kingsley Kelechi Onoche who emerged overall best in the Nursing Council Examination in the Mr. Zari Solomon , described the feat as monumental.

He said the school has also made the state proud by mentoring the young student to represent the state and to put Nasarawa state on the global map of nursing sciences, having been recently upgraded to a college, assuring that the management will continue to get the required attention.

According to the deputy governor, a lot will be done to transform the institution to become one of the best in the country, urging the Provost and his management team to keep to standard for academic excellence.

Provost of the College of Nursing Sciences, Lafia, Mr. Zari Solomon said they were in the Deputy Governor’s Office to present to him, the nation’s overall best student in the Nursing Council Examination, Kingsley Kelechi Onoche who is a product of the school.

Mr. Zari acknowledged the support of the government to the institution, reiterating that efforts will be made to further standardise the college for effective service delivery.
