Lagbaja Orders Troops to Adopt Aggressive Measures in Stamping Out Terrorists Activities

Chief of Army Staff   Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has ordered troops of the 3 Division Nigerian Army and the Joint Task Force Operation Safe Haven to adopt more aggressive posture and decisively to stamp out terrorists causing mayhem in Plateau and neighboring states.

In a statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu said Lagbaja handed down the order in Mangu while addressing troops during an operational tour to Plateau State, following a recent disruption of peace in Mangu Local Government Area of the state.

The Chief of Army Staff   assured that he is confident that the troops will be more resilient and leave no stone unturned in ensuring that peace and tranquility is restored in Plateau and other troubled parts of the country. 

He urged the troops to remain discipline and responsive to ensure that peace is restored in the state.

Lieutenant General Lagbaja also paid a courtesy call on Governor Caleb Mutfwang, where the Governor, disclosed that he has confident that the Nigerian Army and other security agencies will deliver in their constitutional mandate.
