A popular Kano Tiktoker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya stays in custody for allegedly constituting public nuisance and inciting public disturbance.
A Kano Sharia Court sent Kunya to a correctional facility for 3 counts charges of belonging to a criminal gang, criminal intimidation and inciting public disturbance.
The prosecution counsel Aminu Abdullahi told the court that the Kano State Hisba squad arrested the defendant following complaints that Kunya terrorises their neighborhoods by bringing hoodlums and questionable characters.
Counsel also accused her of using social media to cause disturbance and bring about negative effect on their children.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges and her lawyer, Aliyu Umar Farouk applied for her bail.
The judge, however, sent her to a correctional facility and adjourned the case to February 20 for the bail application.
