Commissioner of Finance Bids Farewell to PS, Underscores Dedication to Duties

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Finance, Hajiya Munira Abdullahi, has underscored the importance of dedication to duty and teamwork in enhancing productivity within the public service.

She stated this during a ceremony in honour of retired Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry for Finance, Mr. Emmanuel Alidzi, and Chief Store Officer, Alhaji Garba Mohammed, at the Ministry’s conference hall.

The Commissioner of Finance, Hajiya Munira Abdullahi, commended the retired permanent secretary Mr.  Emmanuel Alidzi and Alhaji Mohammed for their hard work and dedication, stressing the value of mentorship in grooming others to ensure continuous excellence in public service management.

She challenged staff of the ministry to play their role towards ensuring effective service delivery.

“The Man Emmanuel Alidzi didn’t only come here and work as a person only for himself, he worked for the State and he mentored a lot of people, identifying and mentoring young people that will do better” she added.

During the event, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry and other senior officials applauded the retirees for their commitment and service to the state, extending well wishes for their future endeavors.

In his remarks, retired Permanent Secretary Mr. Emmanuel Alidzi expressed gratitude to the State government for the opportunity to serve for over thirty-five years, and encouraged other staff to continue to give their best for the betterment of the state.
