Nasarawa APC Reaffirms Commitment to Democratic Principles Ahead of Local Government Elections

As the local government council elections approach in Nasarawa State, Dr. Aliyu Bello, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reiterated the party’s dedication to upholding democratic principles and ensuring credible participation in the upcoming polls.

Dr. Bello made this statement while hosting stakeholders from Keana Local Government area at the party secretariat.

The APC chairman expressed satisfaction with the consensus candidates selected in Keana and other local government areas, emphasizing the party’s unanimous agreement to nominate consensus candidates in alignment with legal frameworks across the thirteen local government areas.

He commended Keana stakeholders for their collaborative efforts and urged other areas to follow suit.

Dr. Bello encouraged aspirants to recognize that destiny surpasses ambition, urging them to accept the outcome of their aspirations as the will of God.

To address electoral issues, five different election committee members have been inaugurated.

Commissioner Margaret Elayo led the Keana delegation to inform the party about their consensus decision on chairmanship and councillorship candidates.

Notably, Keana stakeholders successfully produced a female councillorship candidate for the Oki electoral ward, with Elayo praising Dr. Aliyu Bello’s efforts in fostering the party’s success.

This development aligns with the APC’s commitment to establishing formidable structures for sustainable governance in Nasarawa State .

As the party prepares for the local government elections, its focus on democratic principles and credible participation is expected to promote a peaceful and fair electoral process.
